Katie has worked as a Carpenter, Assistant Technical Director, and Technical Director for the last 15 years.

She worked and lived in Providence, Rhode Island, working at Trinity Repertory Company from 2008 to 2010 as a carpenter, and acting as the head welder while there. She also was the Technical Director for the Brown/Trinity Rep MFA Program, and the Set Designer for the Brown University MFA Playwrights’ Showcase.

In 2010, Katie moved to New York City to work at the Technical Director at Rattlestick Playwrights Theater.

In 2011, Katie was hired at the Associate Technical Director for New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts Graduate Theater Production department. There, she worked on 3rd Year Graduate Production – working closely with student designers to make their designs come to life with tight budgets and strict deadlines. She also taught Stagecraft to 1st Year Set Design students, and went to school part-time at the Interactive Telecommunications Program. She shifted positions in her department in 2018 to become the Technical Supervisor of 2nd Year Graduate Production, helping to create a smooth transition and help develop a more cohesive experience for the Graduate Set Design Students.
